Codership is pleased to announce a new release of Galera Manager. The current installer stands at version 1.14.0 (you can check this by typing: ./gm-installer version which will report gm-installer version 1.14.0 (linux/amd64)) and the actual Galera Manager GUI is at version 1.8.7. Users will notice usability improvements, and fixes for issues filed at the galera-manager-support issue tracker. Note that the installer didn’t change, only the Galera Manager GUI for your MySQL monitoring got updated.
We already mentioned during the 1.8.6 release that CentOS 7 was removed due to EOL, but now we also removed support for MariaDB Server 10.3, 10.4, 10.7, 10.9, and 10.10, due to similar reasons. We also had to fix the installation locations for MariaDB Server 10.5 and 10.6. This fixes #106 which happens because the upstream repositories have since been removed for some releases.
So for now the supported database engines for MySQL High Availability nodes are: MySQL 8.0, MySQL 5.7, Percona XtraDB Cluster (PXC) 8.0, MariaDB Server 10.5, 10.6 and 10.11.
There is also something new: Infrastructure Profiles. You can now easily set your access tokens and API keys within it.
You can also edit your Infrastructure Profiles later, and manage multiple (e.g. DigitalOcean, and AWS).
A few notes from the internal changelog that is published in the application (and also on the Galera Manager Changelog):
- 1.8.7
- fix: MariaDB 10.5 and 10.6 installation
- misc: remove support for MariaDB 10.3, 10.4, 10.7, 10.9, 10.10
- feature: Added Infrastructure Profiles
Please download Galera Manager and we look forward to your feedback. Note that we also plan to have a webinar on the latest release of Galera Manager, so keep your eyes peeled on the blog, and on our mailing list!
