Codership, the makers of Galera Cluster and the leading replication and clustering solution for MySQL is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) and build engineer. Galera Cluster is trusted by tens of thousands of users and it powers MariaDB Cluster and Percona XtraDB Cluster.
The QA/Build engineer will work closely with the development team at Codership, ensure high quality and make builds of Galera Cluster. The work is remote.
Tasks
- Functional and stress testing of Galera Cluster products
- Continuously refine the QA process to improve product quality
- Continuously refine the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) process to speed up and automate product delivery
- Create and maintain automated tests for packaging
- Maintain software build system and packaging (our build pipeline uses Ansible, Bash, Python, Jenkins, Docker and Vagrant)
- Make Galera Cluster software builds for distributions, Docker, Kubernetes Operators, and more
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in QA on Linux
- Familiarity with the Galera Cluster product
- Proven record of implementing test and/or build automation in a scalable and sustainable manner
- Familiarity with Linux system administration on major Linux distributions (Debian, Red Hat)
- Experience in Jenkins, Docker, Vagrant
- Basic scripting language skills, at least some of Ansible, Perl, Python, Groovy, Bash
- FreeBSD skills are a plus
- Fluent in written English
- Self driven, and able to work independently for long periods of time
